The Bible teaches that Jesus will come again — literally, personally, visibly, and gloriously. He will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and every eye shall see Him. He comes to raise the dead in Christ, to gather His people, and to take them home to the place He has prepared — and with His coming, sorrow, death, and tears come to an end. Until that day, His call to us is readiness.
What the Bible Says
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
“And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”
“And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;”

Life’s Busy… But Jesus Is Coming
An Honest Question
“Can anyone know when Jesus will return?”
Honestly, no. Jesus said so Himself: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matthew 24:36). Many have set dates for His return, and every date has passed. The Bible gives signs that His coming is near, but it never gives the day — and that is the point. Because we do not know the hour, the call is to be ready every day: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come” (Matthew 24:42).
